First stop is Bluffs at Coffee Mill Restaurant in Wabasha, overlooking the majestic Mississippi Valley. Enjoy a stuffed pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy, tossed salad, vegetable, roll and dessert. Next, arrive at the National Eagle Center where you can look around at your own pace. You may want to bring your binoculars for viewing on the outside viewing deck. A presentation will share interesting facts about eagles and their rehabilitation. Before departing for home, you may shop at the Nelson Cheese Factory or purchase ice cream.

The Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center conducts driver safety classes at the Heritage Center. Drivers 55+ may be eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance. An 8-hour course is initially required, followed by a 4-hour refresher class every three years. Register online at webtrac.lakevillemn.gov, then select “Active Adults,” then “Classes & Events,” or call 1-888-234-1294, and tell them you would like a class in Lakeville.
